A collaborative project between Woodend Barn, sound festival and Red Note Ensemble which introduces people to new music in Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen.

New music from RCS composers including David Fennessy, Oliver Searle, Thomas Wilson, Rory Boyle, Gordon McPherson, and Red Note’s own Embedded Composer Tom Butler.

World-renowned tabla player and Bhangra pioneer Kuljit Bhamra joins Red Note’s strings for a programme that journeys from toe-tapping Western Isles melodies, through contemporary sounds, to the mesmerising rhythms of Indian raga and back again.

Red Note is working with composition students at King’s Park Secondary School on Noisy Nights Jr as part of the Glasgow UNESCO City of Music Family Fun Day at City Halls.
