Parlour Sounds at Edinburgh International Science Festival

We are performing the World Première of Parlour Sounds at the Edinburgh International Science Festival.

Parlour Sounds is a live multimedia event using innovative electronics to transform and invent instruments in an imaginative exploration of women’s relationship to technology – from the advent of home hi-fi to the smartphone. Coming out of Patricia Alessandrini’s Sound and Music Embedded residency with Red Note, in partnership with the Conservatoire de Paris, it will also feature work by composers associated with the Conservatoire.

This performance will also include hands-on audience participation with an instrument-building workshop followed by an after-show jam session to try out some of the electronics. We will then be performing Parlour Sounds at the Conservatoire de Paris on 18 April.
