A Children’s Guide to Anarchy

We're proud to present to the Easterhouse families the result of "A Children's Guide to Anarchy", our longstanding collaboration with Oakwood Primary School and Easterhouse community groups.

Please note that this showing is not opened to the public.

If we gave children time and space to express their vision for the principles that should guide our lives what would they say? What truths are to be found in their youthful wisdom? “Out of the mouths of babes” after all is a phrase we’ve been using for hundreds of years.

So rather than DO AS YOU ARE TOLD told this project has asked TELL US WHAT TO DO.

Created with the children of Oakwood primary alongside community groups from Easterhouse, Red Note Ensemble and Dumbworld, “A Children’s Guide to Anarchy”, is a child-led, musical guide to living in the 21st Century!

We will be presenting the finished product to the Oakwood Primary Schools families on Wednesday 14th June at Platform! Seven songs in the form of animated posters will be showcased, along with a performance of songs by the Oakwood Primary School pupils and Red Note Ensemble.

Red Note Ensemble

Robert Irvine, cello
Ruth Morley, flute
Will White, clarinet/bass clarinet
