Red Note Ensemble: RCS Composer Showcase

Red Note Ensemble and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland present an evening of new music showcasing works composed by RCS staff and students, including three new works by Bekah Simms, Gillian Walker and Kate Sagovsky.
Red Note Ensemble: RCS Composer Showcase
Glasgow Cathedral
Friday 30th October, 7pm
Runtime: 1 hour

The programme features Embryonic, a powerful new work by acclaimed Canadian composer Bekah Simms, commissioned by Nouvel Ensemble Moderne and Red Note Ensemble. In Embryonic, Simms revisits fragments, gestures and sonic memories from her earlier works, transforming them into a compelling new piece for chamber orchestra.

Set within the impressive surroundings of Glasgow Cathedral, the concert also features two news works by RCS PhD composition students Gillian Walker and Kate Sagovsky, alongside further works by RCS composers.

Join us for an evening celebrating the creativity and diversity of compositional voices from across the RCS.
