Noisy Nights at Drygate Glasgow

Noisy Nights are back! — and louder than ever at our new home, Drygate, Glasgow.

Join Red Note Ensemble for an evening of bold, unpredictable, and never-before-heard music. Noisy Nights champions fresh sounds and emerging voices, bringing together composers, performers, and curious listeners in an informal setting where anything can happen.

Our players, Ruth (flute), Fiona (viola) and Tom (percussion) will perform 8 short new 5-minute works selected from the open call — showcasing a wide range of styles, ideas, and sonic experiments:

Abbey Felton, flourish and flow
Caleb Reid, On Approach
Craig Morrison, On a single resonant chord
Huan Li, Wantonly
Jack Robinson, 7AM Dance Party
Mathis Saunier, lava_cycle.
Ming Yang, Cursive
Valerie Thibault, Untitled (Puzzles)

Got a musical idea of your own? Step up for the 10-Minute Composer Challenge. Create a quick sketch on the night, and our musicians might bring it to life before the evening’s out.
