DESCRIPTION:Born from Red Note’s 5 Places Programme\, this is a unique collaboration that gives voice to the children of Easterhouse\, Glasgow\, allowing them to create a manifesto through music and words\, challenging the status quo and exploring what kind of world they want to live in. \nThe Ivor Novello Awards\, presented by The Ivors Academy\, celebrate exceptional composition by British\, Irish\, or UK resident composers of new classical music and sound art. \nWhat incredible recognition for this very special project! The winner will be announced at the ceremony on Tuesday\, 12th November at BFI Southbank\, London. \nComposed by Brian Irvine\nLibretto by John McIlduff\nCo-created by the children of Oakwood Primary School\, Scotland commissioned by Dumbworld and Red Note Ensemble\nPerformed by Red Note Ensemble and the children of Oakwood Primary \nRed Note is funded by Creative Scotland and is a PRS Foundation Talent Development Partner.
